Will A Tattoo Stretch On My Chest

2. MEXICO, DF MEXICO NATIONAL LIBRARY

For over a decade worked in the National Newspaper Library, which is part of the National Library of Mexico. Both are located in a monumental building of two bodies, located south of Ciudad Universitaria de la Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM). In this area also have other constructions for the Concert Hall Nezahualcoyotl, theater, dance for the school to the University Center Theater, a bookstore, the University Museum of Contemporary Art, cinemas and other facilities. At the time that I academic cataloger of the Newspaper, I had the opportunity to participate in discussions about the nature of the National Library, given the state of subordination which is to be part of Bibliographic Research Institute of the UNAM (IIB). Those talks also made by the concern that caused us to note that the library has no presence or importance within the national territory, or affects the policy or plans and programs have to do with information, knowledge, documentation and education. As in many other countries, the idea that Mexico had a library to identify it as a nation and was responsible for gathering, organizing and disseminating the documentary heritage and Mexican literature began at an early date set for the completion of its Independence . However, as is usually the ruling classes are distinguished by their lights, but are always limited in their vision, whether out of ambition or pride, no library was an institution rather than by decree until 1867, and of facto until the penultimate decade of the century XIX. That first library was a sum of blunders that pride to anyone more dedicated to addressing the mess of their collections and enforcement response to the government was forced to comply with educational tasks.
Amid widespread illiteracy, from sunset of the nineteenth century, the National Library was involved in the adventure of research and literature collection, preliminary work evaluating and promoting new, without being able to understand the importance of results that were obtained for education, research and culture in Mexico.
In 1929, following the declaration of university autonomy, the federal government would get rid of the National Library, handing it to the resurgent UNAM to do with it what he wanted. In contrast, the government retained the National Archives and other repositories that had shown the greatest utility. The only person who was concerned to see the National Library was the hero José Vasconcelos.
In the early 40's, Vasconcelos was appointed director of the National Library and picked up an old project that had advocated almost 20 years ago to give it a new building that could house one million books. In 1944, Vasconcelos was proposed to the National Library was installed in the building of the Citadel, where now The José Vasconcelos Library of Mexico. In February next year, the director of the National Library Board requested the UNAM University to formulate the return of the federal government institution, in particular the Secretariat of Public Education, but the request was rejected. To our knowledge, this was the last time you made an attempt of this kind.
In 1967, the centennial celebrations of the National Library, was carried a change in the structure of the UNAM, the structurally wean Rector library and move to comply as part of a new institute dedicated to research Bibliographic (IIB). With this action, loss began what should have been the highest library institution in the nation.
is noteworthy that, without trying to devalue the bibliographic work of the IIB, the National Library of Mexico has become one of the UNAM university library, who lives in a state of emergency by a legal deposit Act which guarantees the Most of its acquisitions, and because it falls within the definition of the University Library System. To this we must add that also publishes the national bibliography, which cataloging records are of poor quality and unreliable, and that all the work that serves only to Institute researchers which is attached and a ridiculous number of users, including any complains at times because poverty of services.
is sad to see that this library is merely to require notice to be recognized title to their name, as when in the past six years been a prominent writer mistakenly designated the Vasconcelos Library (also known as "megalibraries") with the name "National Library" and then director of the IIB Vicente Quirarte Castro was the one who demanded and got the relief of the President of the National Council for Culture and the Arts.
However, we can not deny that this institution remains a mysterious and charming still keeps some of ancestry outdated, that we like a Baroque minds. For this reason, anyone wishing to know you can go to Circuit Mario de la Cueva, Centro Cultural Universitario, Ciudad Universitaria, UNAM. In addition, you can visit their web site http://biblional.bibliog.unam.mx/bibn . The enclosure can be reached by car or by taking an internal truck UNAM University in the metro, route three. Also within walking distance from the avenue IMAN, though a little off and not recommend it. I suggest not only bring with you under 16 years, because they are forced to leave in the cloakroom.

How To Clean Phlegm For Baby??

1. Maxcanu, YUCATAN. MUNICIPAL PUBLIC LIBRARY TEACHER. GONZALEZ MENDEZ ARSENIO

Last Saturday we went to Maxcanú to negotiate support from the municipal president, Mrs. Marlene Catzin, for one of our translators technology can make their practices at that site. This town is 65 km. west of Merida, and is bordering the state of Campeche. In the municipal seat of the same name, is the only public library of this institution, which bears the name of someone who should have some local significance because I could not find much reference to know who he is. It should be noted that the municipality has 24 villages, but has only one public library.
This library was founded on June 20, 1985, just months after it launched the National Program of Public Libraries. In 2008, it had 9.334 volumes, which were served between 280 and 460 user queries (on average two visits per user). Thus, the maximum number of daily users is between 9 and 10.
This influx of users is to frighten anyone.
should be added that for reasons untold usage statistics of the digital service modules carried separately. Thus, the above figures we must add a range extending from 180 to 420 users of the module, thus increasing the flow to a maximum of between 17 and 18 people per day.
In this way, the public library, which opened seven hours on weekdays and four hours on Saturdays, serving more than 28 daily users, or four users per hour on any day between Monday and Friday.
However, we know that things do not work well in libraries, and there are peak and slack times, but the end result is still a day ward. It is necessary to comment that this figure is consistent with the perception of the public assistance the public library in another part the country, in Aguascalientes, where an exercise we did to meet the social imaginary of the institution, respondents said they expect the library serves between 21 and 30 users daily.
digital services module of this library has nine computers, and had an Internet connection connected to Infinitum, but due to the change of municipal government on July last it stopped recruiting, so now this is a pending matter. The most dramatic
happened recently was the removal of library staff that occurred after the change of authorities, it only managed to remain a librarian and appears to be recruited two more people, who probably know nothing of the library and administration.
For those interested in the public library, is located on the street 18-A s / n, between Calle 15-B and 17 in the center of Maxcanú. When we visited were closed for holidays, but bustled around noisy life of a flea, so contrasting marking the closure of the library.

0. WHY A BLOG ON MEXICAN LIBRARIES?

Today I want to start a new blog to address the situation of libraries in my country.
Mexico is a country of great contrasts, where you can find libraries that hold as examples of recent advances in technology, ways of management or functional buildings, along with libraries we have electricity and water cuts, almost abandoned. Some libraries are located in historical and artistic sites, libraries with works of art or objects that could well be in museums. Mexico also exist in public university libraries, libraries, museums and other combinations that break the traditional librarian type.
From all that I discuss in this blog, and I want to start it now as a tribute to my nation's poor and suffering, but with a brilliant story that leaves us at every turn, every corner, in every library. I chose for this blog
Image Library Public San Pedro Martir, located in the town of San Pedro Martir of Tlalpan Mexico City, in front of the Casa de las Campanas. I've always been impressed by the graffiti mural that adorns its exterior.
for now I'll keep these two blog, because in some ways are complementary: one deals with Mexican libraries, and another on the problems of the field of information.
